SpinTracker Support
Help with sensors, music identification, subscriptions and your data.
Get in touch
Email zbproductions22@gmail.com. SpinTracker is made by one person, and every message is read by a human — usually answered within a couple of business days.
If you are reporting a problem, please include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and the sensor brand and model if the issue involves a heart rate strap or cadence sensor. It makes a real difference to how fast this gets fixed.
Heart rate or cadence sensor won't connect
SpinTracker talks to standard Bluetooth fitness sensors — heart rate straps, cadence and speed sensors, and power meters. Most connection problems come down to one of these:
- The sensor is still paired to something else. Bluetooth fitness sensors only talk to one device at a time. Close the other app, or turn off the bike computer or watch that grabbed it first.
- The strap needs contact. Heart rate straps do not broadcast at all until the electrodes are damp and against skin. Wet the contact pads and put it on before you go looking for it in the app.
- Bluetooth permission is off. Open iOS Settings → SpinTracker and confirm Bluetooth is enabled.
- The battery is flat. A dying coin cell often shows up as a sensor that pairs and then drops out a few minutes into a ride, rather than one that never appears.
SpinTracker remembers sensors you have used before and reconnects to them automatically at the start of your next ride, including after a mid-ride dropout.
Songs aren't being identified
SpinTracker listens through the microphone during a ride and identifies music with Apple's music recognition service. If your tracklist comes back empty:
- Microphone permission must be granted. Check iOS Settings → SpinTracker → Microphone. Without it the ride still records your effort, but no music is identified.
- The music has to be audible to the phone. In a loud studio this works well. Through headphones, or with the phone in a zipped pocket or bag, it often will not.
- Some tracks simply aren't in the catalogue — remixes, live sets, instructor mixes and unreleased edits frequently aren't. You can add these to your ride by hand from the session detail screen.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Restoring a purchase — open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. This recovers an existing subscription on a new device or after reinstalling.
- Managing or cancelling — subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us, so they are managed in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops future renewals and keeps your access until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are handled entirely by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue them, though we are happy to help you work out what went wrong.
Your workout data
Rides, music history and your profile are stored on your device — we do not run a server that holds them. That has two consequences worth knowing:
- Deleting the app deletes your history. There is no cloud copy for us to restore from, so export anything you want to keep first.
- Deleting a single ride is done by swiping it away in History. It is removed immediately and permanently.
Workouts you have chosen to sync to Apple Health stay in Health after a ride is deleted from SpinTracker; remove those in the Health app. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Requirements
- iPhone running iOS 26.2 or later
- A Bluetooth heart rate monitor or cadence sensor for effort tracking (optional, but it is the core of the app)
- Microphone access for music identification (optional)
